The year is 1927 and Meredith Appleton (Miranda Otto) arrives with her lighthouse keeper uncle George Wadsworth (Barry Otto) on the remote island of Sith Solitary. She tries to make the best of the situation but bad weather and misadventure conspires against her, leaving Meredith marooned on the desolate island with the enigmatic assistant keeper Fleet (Marton Csokas).
