Windows 10 is a suite of personal computer operating systems manufactured by Microsoft as part of its Windows NT family of operating systems. It is the successor to Windows 8.1 and was released for manufacturing on July 15, 2015 and for retail on July 29, 2015. Windows 10 keeps getting new versions that are available to users at no additional cost. Devices in enterprise environments may receive these updates more slowly or use long-term support milestones that only include critical updates, such as security patches, over their 10-year Extended Support Lifetime.
