Eric Carmen( Cleveland, 1949) é um cantor americano, foi vocalista e líder do grupo Raspberries.
Os outros elementos do grupo eram Wallace Bryson, guitarra, David Smalley guitarra rítmica, Jim Bonfanti, bateria. A intenção do gupo era criar um "som britânico" e, através do estudo minucioso do trabalho dos Beatles, Who e Rollings Stones, conseguiram repetir algumas características do som desses grupos.
Por volta de 1974, Eric Carmen partiu para uma carreira a solo com relativo sucesso. Dentre os sucessos, está a canção hungry eyes que fez parte da banda sonora do filme Dirty Dancing na década de 80, sendo recorde de bilheteria em todo o mundo e All by Myself, uma das canções de mais sucesso de todos os tempos, sendo gravada originalmente por Carmen em 1975.
Uma das versões mais conhecidas de All By Myself é a da cantora Celine Dion.
