Chris Rea (nascido Christopher Anton Rea, 4 de Março de 1951, Middlesbrough, Inglaterra) é um cantor e compositor inglês, reconhecido pela a sua distinta e rouca voz e o seu slide guitar.
A British Hit Singles & Albums  afirmou que Rea foi "um dos mais populares cantor-compositores no final dos anos 80 no Reino Unido".
Ele já era uma grande estrela da música europeia no momento em que finalmente atingiu o Top 10 do Reino Unido com a sua 18ª entrada no top, "The Road to Hell (Part 2)".
Em 2009, Rea tinha vendido mais de 30 milhões de álbuns em todo o mundo. Embora Rea tenha tido um sucesso limitado nos Estados Unidos, dois dos seus álbuns, "The Road to Hell" e "Auberge", lideraram as UK Albums Chart.
