Great White é uma banda de hard rock norte-amaricana, formada em Los Angeles no ano de 1978.
A banda ganhou popularidade durante os anos 80 e início de 90, lançando vários álbuns na década de 80 e ganhando airplay na MTV com videos para músicas como "Once Bitten, Twice Shy", atingindo o pico de popularidade com o álbum "... Twice Shy" em 1989.
A banda continuou a lançar material novo nos anos 90, embora com pouco sucesso nos Estados Unidos.
Em 2003, a banda foi noticia quando durante um espectaculo, o fogo de artificio da banda incendiou a discoteca aonde atuavam, levando à morte 100 pessoas em West Warwick, Rhode Island, incluindo o guitarrista da banda Ty Longley, que tinha sido membro da banda durante três anos.  
Os Great White regressaram em 2007 com o lançamento de um novo álbum e uma tournée de acompanhamento.
